Off Leash K9 Training is the most loved dog training company serving Alpharetta and North Fulton.
Alpharetta is one of the main towns we serve, and it asks a lot of a dog. Our trainers come to you by appointment for private obedience lessons, and if you would rather have a trainer lay the groundwork, our board and train programs finish with a one-on-one session that hands the training over to you. Every program and price is on our plans and pricing page.
Why professional training is essential for Alpharetta dog owners
Behavior modification
Address jumping, pulling, barking, anxiety, and reactivity at the root, not just the symptom.
Safety & control
A dog that listens the first time is a safer dog around traffic, livestock, wildlife, and people.
Stronger bond
Clear communication builds trust, so your dog looks to you for direction instead of guessing.
Skills that transfer
We hand the training over to you at pickup, so the obedience keeps working at home.
Family harmony
A calm, well-mannered dog means a calmer home for kids, guests, and other pets alike.

Built for how Alpharetta dogs actually live
Alpharetta is a busy place to have a dog. The Big Creek Greenway runs through town, Wills Park has a fenced off-leash dog park, and downtown draws a crowd. Strollers, bikes and other dogs are all part of a normal walk here.
So the goal is a dog you can take with you. That means a loose-leash heel past whatever is coming the other way, a place command that holds while you stop to talk, and a dog who leaves the fun at the dog park and comes back when you call. We work on those in real places, around real distractions.
Lessons put you on the leash from day one. If your weeks are already full, two weeks of board and train has your dog working every day with a trainer, and that is also where off-leash recall gets built.

What our clients say
“Our once super reactive, anxious dogs were recalling and not chasing neighbors walking their dogs.”
“Our dog was a hyper active 1 yr old that would run off. He now has incredible manners and our walks are calm and enjoyable.”
“Tyler sent me videos, took her on outings, and took the time to really explain how we can help her to keep improving.”
Frequently asked questions
Do your trainers come to Alpharetta?
Yes. Alpharetta is one of the main towns we serve, and our trainers travel to clients here by appointment. Call for a free phone consultation and we will work out a time and place for your first lesson.
Which is better for a busy family, lessons or board and train?
It depends on how much of the work you want to do yourself. In lessons, you work one-on-one with a trainer and practice between sessions. In board and train, your dog boards with one of our trainers and trains every day, then you get a one-on-one handover session. You can compare them on our plans and pricing page.
Can you teach my dog to walk past other dogs without pulling?
Yes, loose-leash heel is one of the commands in Basic Obedience, along with come, sit, down, place and off. If your dog reacts hard to other dogs, tell us on the phone, because the aggressive dog hybrid program may be the better fit.
What does dog training cost?
Basic Obedience is $625 for four private lessons and Basic & Advanced Obedience is $950 for eight. Board and train is $1,450 for one week and $2,500 for two weeks. The aggressive dog hybrid program is $1,650 or $2,850. Payment plans are available. Call us today to learn more about payment options.
Is the e-collar included, and how is it used?
Yes. Every lesson program and every board and train includes an e-collar and leash. You control it with a remote, and we use it to get your dog's attention, like a tap on the shoulder. It is never used as a punishment. At our first meeting we put it on your arm so you can feel how mild it is.
