She was not aggressive. She was insecure, and nobody in the house could relax when the doorbell rang.

Where Halo started
Halo already had basic obedience training. What she did not have was confidence. She struggled with anxiety, especially when guests came over, and she would bark nonstop.
Her family knew what they were looking at: "We knew she wasn’t aggressive, just insecure, but we weren’t sure how to help her work through it." They also were not sure two weeks could change much.
The training journey
Our trainer started by getting to know Halo. Her owner noticed how: he never cornered her or forced her into situations she was not ready for, and he let her move forward at her own pace.
German Shepherds have natural guarding instincts. The plan was built for Halo's temperament and worked with those instincts instead of against them.
Through the two weeks her family got daily text updates and video clips. When they had questions, they got full answers: what to do, what not to do, and how to give commands so the training would hold at home.
What actually changed
- She is more confident and calmer. Her owner says Halo "came home like a brand new dog."
- Guests can visit. For the first time, the family and their guests can relax around her without the constant barking.
- She holds her commands. Her owner was amazed at how well she stays focused, even around distractions.
★★★★★
“Halo already had basic obedience training, but she lacked confidence and struggled with anxiety, especially when guests came over. […] He never cornered her or forced her into situations she wasn’t ready for. Instead, he was patient and calm, allowing Halo to move forward at her own pace. […] By the end of the two weeks, Halo came home like a brand new dog. She is much more confident, calmer, and extremely responsive to commands with the help of the e-collar.”

What it changed for her family
Her owner says Halo seems happier, more secure and much more focused around the house, and that the training improved their everyday life, not only her behavior.
Why Halo's story matters to us
Barking at guests is easy to mistake for aggression. With Halo it was fear, and fear is not fixed by pressure. At Off Leash K9 Training North Georgia, a nervous dog sets the pace, and Halo's story is what that patience can earn.
Before and after
Halo, a German Shepherd with basic obedience but little confidence, barked nonstop when guests came over. After a patient two-week board and train she came home calmer, more confident and responsive.
