Milo's Story: A Young Dog Trained for Life With a 4-Year-Old
His family did not want a dog who only behaved in a quiet room. They wanted one who could handle a preschooler, a soccer ball and a doorbell.

- Private lessons, then a two-week board and train

Where Milo started
Milo is a young dog who joined a family with a 4-year-old son. That means toys on the floor, soccer balls rolling past, guests at the door and a house that is rarely still.
His family came to Off Leash K9 Training North Georgia with a clear goal. In their words, they wanted to make sure Milo could "successfully navigate all the distractions that come with a young child and a busy home."
The training journey
Tyler Breh, our owner, started with private sessions before Milo's two-week board and train. Those sessions were as much for the family as for Milo, so that everyone understood the training before he left home.
During the board and train, Tyler worked with Milo on purpose around the things that fill his real life: toys, soccer balls, guests and other everyday distractions. The family got daily updates and videos, so they could see what Milo was working on each day.
What actually changed
- He came home focused. His family describes him as "noticeably more focused, responsive, and well trained using the e-collar."
- He learned boundaries around a child's world. Toys and soccer balls were part of the training, not something left for the family to sort out later.
- His family learned too. Tyler taught them how to work with Milo at home so they could keep building on what he learned.
★★★★★
“One of the things we appreciated most was how personalized Milo’s training was to our family and home environment. With a 4-year-old son, we wanted to make sure Milo could successfully navigate all the distractions that come with a young child and a busy home. Tyler intentionally worked with him around toys, soccer balls, guests, and other everyday distractions, teaching Milo boundaries and how to remain responsive and respectful. […] Milo came home noticeably more focused, responsive, and well trained using the e-collar.”

What it changed for his family
The family says the training has made a real difference in helping Milo fit into their family life. The help also did not stop when the two weeks were over: Tyler has stayed available as they keep working with Milo.
Why Milo's story matters to us
A dog does not live in a training field. He lives in a house with kids, visitors and noise. Milo's story is the reason we ask so many questions before training starts. At Off Leash K9 Training North Georgia, the plan is built around the home the dog is going back to.
Before and after
Milo's family has a 4-year-old son and a busy home. After private lessons and a two-week board and train with Tyler Breh, Milo came home focused and responsive around toys, guests and everyday distractions.
